Summary

 Our client is looking to hire an Application Systems Analyst in their Clinical Research Administration department. The Systems Analyst will coordinate technical aspects of the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of Information Systems for Research Operations. The Application Systems Analyst is a key driver of success for the implementation and ongoing support of the Clinical Trails Management System (CTMS). This role will be responsible for driving task completion, tracking issue resolution, and enforcing timeline and scope adherence during the implementation phase of CTMS. The Research Operations Advanced Systems Analyst will also lead efforts and facilitate cross functional collaboration for operational support of the CTMS and other applications within the Research Operations portfolio.

 Responsibilities:

  1. Designs system solutions to operational issues and meets customer needs.
  2. Develops written materials for large scale and/or complex projects. Presents information to diverse audiences.
  3. Strives for "win-win" solutions for every interpersonal communication. Fosters coaching, feedback, and listening skills as strategic tools for individual and organizational actualization.
  4. Technical lead on medium to large scope projects which impact large segments of the organization at the campus or enterprise wide level or that have a significant impact to the financial health of the organization.
  5. Develops and refines work management processes and methodologies. Trains others in work management skills.
  6. Maintains a broad understanding of both the organization and the health care industry.
  7. In cooperation with IS and Research Operations Leadership builds, communicates, and oversees Research Operations Technical Roadmap.
  8. Applicant should have strong Project Management skills for resource management identifying the tasks, forecasting the Resource effort and leading / engaging other aligned IT teams to deliver on Project objectives.
  9. Serves as subject matter Analyst expert / technical resource for CTMS product and ensures a well-rounded understanding of developing needs working with team members, operational leadership, and other project stakeholders.
  10. Coordinates with key stakeholders and leadership to ensure functionality is delivered on time, within budget delivering the value identified in the business case.
  11. Facilitate, coordinate, and arbitrate cross-functional discussions and decisions with subject matter experts within key functional areas to deliver critical Research Operations technical objectives.
  12. Documents / generates business requirements for new and existing functionality.
  13. Creates report requirement documents for new reports as requested by Research Operations.
  14. Assists / provides oversight on data migration related activities.
  15. Evaluates upgrades and provides feedback to the vendor and leadership / stakeholders on upgrade impacts to the product and business workflows.
  16. Works Tier 2 & 3 service tickets and manages vendor incident engagements and provides support to CTMS end users.
  17. Manages the relationship / represents the organization for CTMS, Grants, IRB, regulatory applications and research solutions with the DHH Community.
  18. Recommends hardware and software solutions for user needs.
  19. Plans, develops, directs, schedules, and/or assists in the deployment and/or enhancement of DH's information systems.
  20. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of practice and information systems analysis/implementation experience required.
  • Strong computer skills desired.
  • Prior Experience with clinical research administration systems.
  • Must be self-directed, flexible, and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Must have an analytical approach to problem solving and needs definition.

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

  • Special certification may be required (RN or other certification) depending upon team responsibilities.
