Summary

 The Infrastructure Delivery Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for designing enterprise infrastructure solutions and capabilities in alignment with the enterprise architecture developed by the Chief Architect, including exploration of new technologies, improving the current IT infrastructure and integration of new solutions into existing systems.

The Solution Architect will be responsible for leading the solution design and implementation for complex systems, platforms and will interact with key business stakeholders, design teams, development and QA teams on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong business & technology acumen and can translate business vision and strategy into effective technology change by creating, communicating and improving the key requirements, principles and models that describe the enterprises future state and enable its evolution.

 This role primarily collaborates with cross functional teams within the Enterprise Infrastructure Services department, ensuring that outcomes comply with the Enterprise Architectural vision, quality, and security standards. The Solutions Architect is a member of a cross functional team that collaborates with business and information technology customers to define the capabilities and solutions.

 The Solutions Architect will define how those capabilities will be built and will support timely delivery of those capabilities and solutions including participating in planning and requirements definition in collaboration with business owners and product managers to ensure that the time and effort of the Enterprise Infrastructure Services team is producing the greatest value and is in alignment with the overall strategy.

 Candidate must be a true infrastructure architect – detail on infrastructure…legacy infrastructure and familiar with newer cloud tech and services.  Ideal candidate must understand challenges and needs and properly represent Client on their Architectural team.

 Okay for candidate to know applications side of architecture but needs to know and design the underlying support environment.  Must have strong TOGAF experience/knowledge, WebSphere, Apache load balancers, Firewalls, SSO, reverse proxy, SailPoint, security software and protocols in security infrastructure.   Familiarity with not just networks, but all the underlying architecture that supports web infrastructure.  Client is currently transitioning to a more modern/future state, such as Platform as a Service (PaaS) and ATI management. Ideal candidate must be able to migrate to new technology levels and blend with current technologies.  Automation in Azure and AWS environments.  Identity and Access Management (IAM) rollout recently and there is an opportunity for experience in transition to cloud or hybrid approach.  Personality, collaboration and verbal articulation with team members is important.  Creation of business cases is also important.  Capturing engineers’ findings and use in infrastructure design decisions.  Candidate may also lead meetings.

 Mandatory requirements:

  • TOGAF Certification or Experience
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GOOGLE, Microsoft)
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Middleware/Framework (virtualization infrastructure)
