Summary

 The SAP Enterprise Application Manager is responsible for all aspects of SAP and ancillary systems, operating environment and interfaces in terms of strategy, technology and service delivery.  Primary responsibility is the overall development, maintenance and production change control.  This position is also responsible for the selection and oversight of vendor support for SAP and ancillary systems system.

 The Enterprise Application Manager - SAP is accountable for overseeing and managing the SAP technical team and support vendors for design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of applications.  This position actively manages scope, objectives, task level work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and oversees quality, costs, budgets, issues and risks to ensure success of related ticket resolution and projects.  The incumbent uses in-depth technical and analytical skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate SAP technology into the business environment.

 Quality service is maintained by establishing and enforcing standards; accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements, prepares the annual budget, monitors expenditures, analyzes variances, measures SLAs and initiates corrective action.

 The incumbent works closely with both IT and the business to assist in project prioritization on business councils and in less formal local workgroups.  Other duties include oversight responsibilities associated with business case and RFP development and contract administration.  The incumbent is responsible for vendor coordination and SLA’s for SAP and is the support manager for the SAP Managed Services engagement and Hosting engagement.

 The incumbent maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing technical publications, attending workshops and conferences, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.  The incumbent develops subordinates through joint goal setting, appraisals, counseling and supervision of training.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 ·         Strategic planning associated with SAP and it’s alignment to the business

  • Project management including prioritization, staffing, setting objectives and metrics, project planning, project tracking and project implementation
  • Ensures that project goals are accomplished according to specifications and business objectives, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Oversight of enhancements and maintenance associated with the SAP applications
  • Participate in business process evaluation and improvement activities
  • Assist in the development of bids and Request for Proposals
  • Participate in the evaluation and acquisition of third party software solutions as required
  • Budget management and actual expenditures tracking
  • Management of SAP Managed Services Provider and SLA’s
  • Participate in presentation to senior management and has regular contact with user community
  • Represents the company at conferences and belongs to professional organizations and user groups
  • Excellent problem analytical skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy in technical and administrative tasks.

 JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 Minimum Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in computer science and/or management or 10 years relevant experience.

 Experience / Skills / Abilities:

 ·         Minimum of ten years progressive broad-base information systems experience

  • Experience with ERP applications

  • Experience with SAP S/Hana Cloud, Greenfield or Brownfield conversions
  • Strong leadership, consulting, and verbal and written communications
