Summary


Our client’s IT team has an immediate opening for a Salesforce Product Owner. The successful candidate will be part of the Salesforce team responsible for delivering Salesforce Manufacturing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Data Cloud technology and report to the Director of Salesforce Platform.

 

The Salesforce Product Owner must be able to understand the business in order to manage the development of features for users across the organization. The role requires strong leadership across multiple teams and departments, the ability to communicate with influence, and possess a technical aptitude with a strong familiarity with agile methodologies.

 

The Salesforce Product Owner will play a pivotal role in advocating for business needs during agile ceremonies, ensuring business alignment with Salesforce solutions. This individual will manage and execute a Salesforce digital roadmap across the business to bring new experiences and features to employees and customers that will promote customer satisfaction, user experience, and revenue growth.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

In this position, you will act as a voice of the end-user to guide day-to-day work of a cross-functional team, focusing on achievement of defined outcomes versus defining how the work is completed.

 

Product Roadmap Development:

  • Collaborate with the Director to create and communicate a comprehensive product roadmap for the Salesforce platform
  • Translate business objectives into technical requirements and actionable plans
  • Create, prioritize and maintain the product backlog, including prioritization and refinement; make trade-off decisions to maximize value
  • Provide regular reporting and updates including schedule and planning
  • Acts as voice of the end-users, have a deep understanding of and anticipate and proactively seek customer feedback ensuring needs and requirements are clearly defined
  • Demonstrate the team’s work to Business stakeholders via Sprint demos
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner, helping to coach and guide stakeholders through different technical options or recommendations in a tactful and clear way
  • Navigate diverse stakeholder personalities and varying levels of technical knowledge. Translate business strategies and needs into execution ready work for an Agile product team; define team goals and strategy, ensuring alignment stakeholders; Articulate team goals and strategy effectively to key stakeholders, and team members.

 

 

 

Agile Sprint Management:

  • Work closely with Salesforce team to load, manage, and deliver sprints within the framework of our agile development methodology
  • Drive the sprint planning process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Work closely with the Salesforce Business Analyst to create use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria around the product and communicate them effectively to the team
  • Accept/commit user stories into the product baseline using well documented acceptance criteria
  • Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams, including administrators and developers, to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing among team members
  • Support the Team in delivering value and contribute to the business vision and roadmap
  • Maintain core responsibilities with minimal supervision and be accountable for work commitments and outcomes
  • Provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, and contribute to removing roadblocks or impediments
  • Look for opportunities for continuous team and process improvement

 

Progress Monitoring and Blocker Resolution:

  • Monitor and track sprint progress to ensure the timely delivery of milestones
  • Implement strategies to remove impediments and streamline workflow processes
  • Ensure teamwork product meets defined acceptance criteria

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of Product Owner or Product Management experience
  • 3-5 years strong technical background with a core competency in Salesforce software development and administration as well as experience with integration of Salesforce
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Agile methodology
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture frameworks, best practices and business processes
  • Ability to map complex business processes and define target state architecture with the appropriate use of platform technologies, automation, and integrations
