Vice President/Sr. Business Applications Manager

The Senior Business Applications Manager (i.e. Sr. IT Manager) performs as a senior leader and manager, providing hands-on technical and business leadership to assigned technology teams, developing and implementing projects and initiatives that meet business and customer needs. Assigned teams are responsible for design; development; software testing; deployment and support of the assigned business applications. The position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed with a high degree of quality; and applications are supported and monitored effectively. The position is also responsible for providing skilled oversight to projects; meeting timelines; managing risk and regulatory requirements; staff assessment; and working with stakeholders to develop strategies to meet their strategic business plans. The Sr. IT Manager is responsible for establishing and managing key vendor relationships, contracts and associated service contracts. The Sr. IT Manager will work closely with procurement, legal, and risk management to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of key vendor services. This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.

This is a new management position within the Information Technology group that will be responsible for managing appx 100-125 Business Applications.  The new manager will be responsible for the following application teams:

  • Community Banking applications
  • Commercial applications
  • BSA/AML applications
  • Corresponding Operational applications

Key position requirements include:

  • A minimum of 10 years of banking experience with demonstrated knowledge across a wide-range of banking business applications
  • Proven leadership in Information Technology and Banking, that executes on project delivery
  • Key partner with Lines of Business to understand and solve business problems
  • Proven experience in managing multiple technology teams
  • Proven experience in managing teams of 50+ technology FTE’s, with corresponding staff management and capacity planning.
  • Stellar verbal, written and presentation communications
  • Working knowledge of vendor relationship management
  • Working knowledge of a wide range of technologies including system integration
  • Working knowledge of banking regulations
  • Working knowledge of IT Audit processes
  • Working knowledge of cost center / financial budget management

Preferred position requirements include:

  • Working experience in Agile methodologies
  • Working experience in Project Management
  • Working experience in Risk Management

Location:  Central CT

Compensation:

·         $140,000 - $160,000 per year based on experience level

·         10% STI annual bonus

·         Vice President title
