Description:

The ERP Applications Analyst’s role is to assist in the design, delivery, maintenance, and improvement of our enterprise ERP system (Infor LX) and related in-house and cloud-based software applications. Support and training of end users in the organization on the effective and efficient use of application software to meet business objectives. Responsibilities include programming and support of LX modules, building data integrations, and troubleshooting issues in all supported applications. and other enterprise software applications.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

·         Work closely with user departments to understand business processes.

·         Work closely with all users in the area of cross training and support.

·         Evaluate and review documented resolutions and establish best practice standards for future documentation and standards.

Operational Support

·         Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems.

·         Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.

·         Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.

·         Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.

·         Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.

·         Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

·         Maintain and enhance performance of all new and existing software and applications across the organization.

·         Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the organization.

·         Coordinate with department heads to assess departmental application training needs and objectives.

·         Participate in the design, development, and delivery of software applications training programs and individual classes.

·         Post software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on company intranet to assist in problem resolution.

·         Perform preventative maintenance, including the installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes, anti-virus software, and so on.

·         Work with and cross train in-house resources

·         Work with internal project teams to develop procedures and improvements.

Position Requirements:

 Formal Education & Certification

·         College degree in the field of computer science, information systems, and/or 5 – 10 years equivalent work experience in the IT field.

Knowledge & Experience

·         Broad knowledge of programming languages and techniques. Extensive experience in RPG is greatly preferred.

·         In-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise applications and the IBM Series I (AS400).

·         Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.

·         Experience with integrating application data across systems (both internal and 3rd party cloud) utilizing ETL software.

·         Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for IT knowledge base, training and end user procedures.

·         Knowledge of trends in technology relating to software applications.

·         Experience with building and maintaining databases for query and problem tracking DB2 UDB (IBM Series I) and Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred.

·         The ability to work with various levels of users including executive and management level.

·         Deep understanding of ERP systems and standard business processes in a manufacturing environment.

·         Strong Project Management skills /Understanding project management principles

Location: Upper Fairfield County

Compensation: $100,000 per year plus full benefit package.
